A major renovation of the University of Kentucky’s historic Memorial Coliseum modernized the iconic basketball arena while preserving its character. The project added a new club level and removed a portion of the seating bowl to open the concourse to the arena and included structural upgrades such as roof-framing modifications and other targeted improvements to improve performance and extend the building’s service life. The renovation also modernized building systems and spectator amenities with upgraded HVAC, lighting, audio/video, new concourse and club spaces, locker rooms, and improved fan circulation.
