STORM SHELTER DESIGN OR PEER REVIEW

Contact: Brian McMillan

Phone: 859-303-6523

Storm Shelter Design or Peer Review for compliance with the requirements of Chapter 3 Structural Design of the ICC500 Standard for the Design and Construction of Storm Shelters.  Depending on location, ICC500 requires Storm Shelters to be designed for up to 250 mph wind loads, in addition to specialized debris impact resistance requirements.  Our engineers have designed multiple code compliant shelters and have the experience to design a residential or commercial (community) storm shelter to meet your needs.  These shelters can form an entire building envelope or be a limited storm rated space located within a non-rated overall building. We can also provide independent structural Peer Review services for shelters designed by others; code required for certain storm shelter uses.
