A new 3-story high school for Scott County Schools. Features of the facility include a gymnasium, auditorium, media center, art studio, band room, offices, cafeteria, library, classrooms, and dedicated lab spaces for science, agriculture, and business classes. This high school will help prepare students, not only for college, but also in the workforce through career technical education (CTE).
Additionally, the new high school is accompanied by an impressive athletic complex, which includes state-of-the-art facilities for a variety of sports. The complex features softball and baseball fields, a multipurpose field for soccer, lacrosse, track, and a football stadium. The field house offers top-notch amenities for student-athletes, including a weight training room, driving range simulator, film room, and an indoor practice area.
The building is on a sloped site, including a 3-story classroom wing and one-story tall gym, auditorium, cafeteria, band room, and laboratory areas. The cafeteria with its basement is designed as a community tornado storm shelter. The building structure consists of shallow foundations, slab on grade, precast concrete planks, steel roof joists, timer beams, and steel or wood deck supported on masonry and concrete bearing walls.
