A 4-story expansion to the Herrmann Science Center on the Northern Kentucky University campus. This facility will feature research labs, class labs, open labs, offices, study space, student-centered space, and support space. NKU’s Engineering Technology program is anticipated to be accommodated in the addition.


The floor structure consists of composite floor deck supported by steel beams and columns, with steel bar joists at the roof. The lateral system utilizes steel braced frames. The structure is supported by concrete drilled piers bearing on bedrock.
