A former minimum-security prison site was transformed into the new home for the Kentucky State Police Training Academy. The development includes two new facilities: a 4,000 sq ft administrative building with staff offices, a conference room, break room, reception, laundry, and mechanical space; and a 15,000 sq ft multipurpose training facility featuring classrooms, a kitchen and dining hall, lobby, laundry, mechanical rooms, and a large open gymnasium-style training space.

The administrative building is framed with a wood truss roof structure supported by load bearing wood stud walls. The multipurpose training facility is a pre-engineered metal building structure with foundations and bay layout designed by BK.
