Due to its size, floor and roof structures utilized fire rated assemblies. The facility predominantly utilizes precast concrete hollow core plank and composite steel beam floor assemblies supported by a combination of concrete masonry bearing walls and steel frame. The roof structure utilizes fireproofed steel beams and unprotected long-span steel joist where clear height exceeds 20 feet. The gymnasium utilized a combination of long-span
steel joist and heavy timber supported by a ring of structural steel trusses. The lateral bracing system utilizes reinforced masonry shear walls.
