A new 2-story pediatric dentistry office building serving the community of Flatwoods, Kentucky. The facility is thoughtfully designed to enhance the patient experience, featuring 16 open hygiene and operatory bays, quiet treatment spaces, a sterilization area, x-ray rooms, and an activity area. Additional amenities include a welcoming waiting room, reception area, offices, break rooms, and an outdoor green space for staff pets. The 
building’s second floor is fully dedicated to staff, featuring a changing area with laundry and shower facilities, as well as a spacious, open break room that includes kitchen, dining, and lounge areas. Vibrant, playful rainbow-patterned vertical steel louvers encircle the exterior, adding a dynamic design element.

The structure features wood framing, with exterior and select interior walls serving as the primary load-bearing support. Open-web wood trusses provide space for building systems integration while maintaining high ceilings. The roof framing also supports an outdoor employee patio. The building is founded on shallow footings. Structural steel components create the highly unique exterior louver system, which is connected to the wood framing.​​​​​​​​​​​​​
