A single-story expansion at the Waterfront Botanical Garden addresses its maintenance and educational needs. This multi-building facility includes a multi-purpose classroom event space, a private courtyard, an educational greenhouse, and supporting workspace and storage.
 

The wood-framed structure features exposed glulam ridge beams and vaulted ceilings with exposed wood decking and rafters. The project presented unique challenges, such as designing a structural slab system supported by grade beams and a driven pipe pile deep foundation system on a reclaimed abandoned landfill site.
