A new 1-story, cutting-edge battery manufacturing training facility that provides workforce training and supports future employment opportunities for more than 5,000 Kentuckians. The building features high-bay training spaces, laboratories, classrooms, offices, collaboration and study areas, storage, and support spaces. Through a joint initiative between ECTC and BlueOval SK, the facility educates the battery plant’s workforce and strengthens Kentucky’s growing advanced manufacturing sector.

The structure consists of a steel framed structure with braced frames as the lateral load resisting system for wind and seismic loads. Steel joists and beams support the metal roof deck, and beams are supported on steel columns founded on shallow spread footings. The project features architecturally exposed steel frames and trusses in the main entry corridor.
