A new law enforcement training facility for the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT). The state-of-the-art building features a 50-yard, 30-lane indoor firing range designed to support intensive and specialized firearms training for law enforcement agencies across the Commonwealth. Named in honor of fallen Calloway County Chief Deputy Jody Cash, the facility enhances DOCJT’s training capabilities and provides a modern environment for advanced tactical instruction, firearms qualifications, and public safety training.

The structure consists of concrete masonry walls, with shear walls designed as the lateral load-resisting system for wind and seismic loads. The masonry walls are founded on concrete grade beams and wall footings. The foundation features a reinforced concrete slab-on-grade with drilled piers to support the structure over waste fill on the site. Bond beams within the masonry walls and steel joists support the steel deck roofing over the entry structure. The firing range roof system features steel joists supported by bond beams. These joists span 150 feet and support both the steel deck roofing and the ballistic ceiling for range protection.
