A $2.0 M, single-story expansion at the Waterfront Botanical Gardens that was designed to address both maintenance and educational needs. This new facility includes a multi-purpose classroom, event space, private courtyard, supporting workspace, and storage. A key feature of the building is the educational greenhouse, which is used to teach children about horticulture and sustainable practices.

The wood-framed structure features exposed glulam ridge beams and vaulted ceilings with exposed wood decking and rafters. The project presented unique challenges, such as designing a structural slab system supported by grade beams and a driven pipe pile deep
foundation system on a reclaimed abandoned landfill site.
