A 3-story Science Education Center at the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Newtown Campus. Features of the building include laboratory space, science classrooms, administrative and faculty offices, and other auxiliary spaces.
 

This project consisted of a steel frame structure utilizing composite steel beam construction. The foundation system consists of a series of grade beams supported by drilled pier foundations down to rock. The lateral force resisting system utilizes concentrically braced frames. Architectural and special use considerations included special vibration considerations for the floor framing and an exterior pedestrian bridge structure.
